Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir shaped by Pacific fog and cool ocean air.
Migration is Duckhorn's dedicated cool-climate label, built to express the wild, windswept character of California's coastal appellations. The Sonoma Coast is one of the state's most demanding growing regions — fog rolls in from the Pacific each morning, temperatures rarely climb above 25°C, and the vines are pushed to produce small, intensely flavoured berries. The 2021 vintage was a winemaker's dream: even ripening, no heat spikes, and natural acidity in abundance.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe red cherry, pomegranate, and a whisper of coastal sage open onto a palate of remarkable freshness. The fruit is vibrant and precise, framed by silky tannins and a bright, food-friendly acidity that makes this wine as versatile at the table as it is beautiful on its own.
The Finish
Long and lifted, with a saline mineral quality that speaks directly to the ocean influence on the Sonoma Coast. A finish that lingers and invites another sip.
What the Critics Say
- Wine Spectator: 92 points — noted for its "coastal freshness, vibrant red fruit, and the elegant restraint of a great Sonoma Coast Pinot."
