The cooler, more structured side of El Jabali — and a different kind of Pinot Noir entirely.
Where El Jabali is concentrated and precise, North Slope is multidimensional and textural — the product of fruit sourced predominantly from the north-facing aspect of the vineyard, where cooler temperatures and longer hang time build complexity rather than power. Winemaker Samra Morris blends 98% El Jabali fruit with small additions from La Encantada, Rancho La Viña, and Radian Vineyard to add aromatic lift and structural nuance.
Tasting Notes
Aromatic and inviting on the nose, with black pepper, ripe cherry, plum, and a warm nutmeg spice that sets the tone. On the palate, the wine is full and layered — fig, Amarena cherry, and chai tea are framed by structured tannins and a bright, juicy acidity that keeps everything in motion. This is a Pinot Noir with genuine depth that reveals more with every sip.
The Finish
Balanced and persistent, with Amarena cherry and chai spice carrying through to a long, clean close. Built to develop further with two to three years of cellaring.
