Chianti Classico Riserva is the highest expression of the historic heartland between Florence and Siena — a wine that must spend at least 27 months ageing before release, producing a Sangiovese of greater depth, structure, and complexity than the standard Chianti. Banfi's version is crafted from 85–90% Sangiovese with a selection of traditional Chianti Classico varieties, grown on galestro and alberese soils that stress the vine into concentration.

Tasting Notes
Intense mauve red in the glass. A complex perfume recalls notes of plum and blackberry jam alongside spicy hints of leather and dried herbs. On the palate, excellent structure with soft, balanced tannins and the classic Sangiovese acidity that makes this wine as rewarding at the table as it is in the glass.

The Finish
Long and savoury, with a persistent close that reflects the quality and ambition of the Riserva tier.
