Sardinia's most distinctive red grape in its most approachable format — rustic, characterful, and deeply rooted in the Sulcis.

Carignano — known elsewhere as Carignan — has been grown in the Sulcis region of southwestern Sardinia for centuries, brought by the Phoenicians and shaped by millennia of Mediterranean sun and sea wind. Ondas Carignano is Cantina Santadi's entry into this ancient variety — the same grape as their legendary Terre Brune, in a format designed for everyday enjoyment.

Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red with garnet hues. The nose opens with juicy red fruit — cherry, plum, and wild berries — alongside soft spice and a characteristic earthy, herbal note that is the hallmark of old-vine Carignano. On the palate, medium-bodied with soft tannins and a warm, food-friendly finish.

Juicy and persistent, with a rustic warmth that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, pasta, and the bold flavours of Sardinian cuisine.
