DAOU's 'Soul of a Lion' comes from the mountain estate that brothers Georges and Daniel DAOU built from scratch on Adelaida's limestone-rich hilltops — one of California's most dramatic wine-growing sites. Made only from the finest blocks, this is a wine of genuine ambition: powerful, precise, and built to age.

Tasting Notes
Deeply aromatic and complex — black cherry, mulberry, and Oregon blackberry open the nose, layered with leather, cigar box, dark chocolate, desert sage, and a cool whisper of crème de menthe. The palate is silky and voluptuous, with currant, cassis, black raspberry, and ripe cherry at the core, framed by fig, baking spice, dates, and truffle. Mature, ripe tannins deliver a weighty, velvety texture with beautiful limestone minerality running through it.

The Finish
Long and memorable — blackberry, plum, and espresso linger with a final lift of white pepper.
