Gary Farrell Winery has built its reputation on the belief that the finest Pinot Noir comes from a single, carefully chosen piece of ground. The Martaella Vineyard is one of the winery's most prized sites in the Russian River Valley, farmed to produce fruit of genuine concentration and aromatic complexity. Winemaker Theresa Heredia's approach is consistent: minimal intervention, maximum vineyard expression. The 2021 vintage, one of the appellation's most balanced in recent memory, gave her exactly the fruit she needed.

Tasting Notes

Deeply aromatic on the nose, with red currants, dark plum, and violet flowers that open with quiet elegance. On the palate, muddled raspberries and sweet baking spice are layered with damp earth and a fine, seamless structure that carries everything through to the finish without a rough edge in sight.

The Finish

Long and refined, with raspberry and a whisper of spice lingering well after the glass is empty. Built to develop further with cellaring through 2031.
