Three words on the label. Three words that mean everything for a Pinot Noir: light, balanced, cool.
Gaslighter Wine Co. was built around a simple conviction: that the best Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir doesn't need to announce itself. Winemaker Joe Uhr sources from Carneros and the Russian River Valley — two of the appellation's coolest, most fog-influenced sites — and ages the wine in 30% new French oak, enough to add structure and subtle spice without obscuring the fruit. The 2019 is a wine of deliberate restraint, and all the better for it.
Tasting Notes
Red cherry, cranberry, and a whisper of oak spice open the nose with the quiet confidence of a wine that knows exactly what it is. On the palate, light-bodied and precise — bright red fruit with a fine, balanced structure that never overreaches. This is Pinot Noir built for the table, not the trophy cabinet.
The Finish
Clean and refreshing, with red cherry and a subtle oak lift carrying through to a light, lingering close. A wine that makes dinner better.
