Scott and Jenny Schultz founded Jolie-Laide with a clear conviction: that Sonoma Coast's cool climate and diverse soils are ideally suited to the Rhône varieties that thrive on restraint rather than ripeness. Their GSM — 55% Grenache, 45% Syrah and Mourvèdre — is a wine of genuine complexity at 13% ABV, where the lower alcohol is a feature rather than a compromise. Each variety contributes something essential: Grenache brings red fruit and warmth, Syrah adds structure and pepper, Mourvèdre grounds everything with savoury depth.

Tasting Notes

A rich and inviting bouquet opens with cinnamon-spiced plum and dark fruits, layered with a distinct white peppercorn note that signals the Syrah's presence. On the palate, lively acidity is the backbone — keeping the robust dark fruit and subtle spice in constant, elegant motion. This is a GSM that never feels heavy, where vigor and finesse are genuinely in balance.
