One of the most important wines in Umani Ronchi's history — a tribute to Monte Conero and its ancient Greek name.
Cùmaro takes its name from Komaros — the Greek name for Monte Conero, meaning 'arbutus', the evergreen shrub that grows freely in its woodlands. This is Conero Riserva at its finest: Montepulciano aged to reveal its full complexity, structure, and the unmistakable character of one of the Adriatic coast's most dramatic wine landscapes.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with garnet hints. An intense bouquet opens with ripe plum, blackcurrant, and morello cherry, finishing spicy with black pepper, vanilla, and tobacco — complex and layered throughout.
The Finish
Soft and enveloping on the palate, with smooth tannins and a pleasantly elegant, dry finish that lingers with dark fruit and spice.
Food Pairing
Rare-cooked red meat, game birds, and mature cheese.
