Umani Ronchi's benchmark Montepulciano d'Abruzzo — created to express the full potential of this great varietal.

Jorio was created in the mid-nineties in collaboration with dedicated Abruzzese winegrowers whose vineyards sit in particularly favourable areas for Montepulciano. The result is a wine of genuine depth and character — full-bodied, structured, and built to age, yet approachable enough to enjoy now.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red. Plums and red cherries on the nose, followed by balsamic and salty notes on a background of ripe liquorice — complex and inviting.

The Finish
Eloquent and clean tannins on the palate — full and vigorous, with a long and intense finish that rewards patience.

Pasta with meat sauces, roast white and red meat, chicken and rabbit chasseur, mixed grills.
