FIND THE BEST AMERICAN PINOT GRIGIO IN THE PHILIPPINES

There are two names for the same varietal: Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio. Pinot Gris is the Franch name and is traditionally grown in the Alsace region. Here the wine has a full bodied style with spicy tropical fruit flavors. Pinot Grigio, the Italian name, is grown throughout Italy and is typically dry, medium or light in body , with medium acidity, and neutral character. Outside of Italy, Pinot Grigio is typically used to describe wine that is neutral and medium to light bodied in style. American wine producers have the opportunity to produce both styles and generally will name the wine based on the style. So you will see both Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio being produced in American wine regions.
